One-Dollar Freeze

At the beginning I was actually a bit nervous because I was going to rent a car in Austin and my credit card limit is not very high. I was afraid they would take a big amount at once when I booked. I made the booking on QEEQ and the thing that made me dare to click pay was a plan called One-Dollar Freeze. I saw the note that I only need to pay 1 dollar first to lock the car and the rest will be charged automatically before the rental starts with no interest. For me as an overseas visitor this was very important. When I was booking my head was full of worry. I was renting a Ford Bronco from Budget. It is automatic with four doors and five seats and looks like a nice car. That made me even more scared that they would freeze a lot on my card. When I finally placed the order I really only paid 1 dollar. My credit card app showed everything normal and no strange big hold. I felt my whole body relax and my pressure went down right away. Later when I thought about it I realized that without this plan I might change to a cheaper small car or maybe not book in advance at all. I would just wait and see at the counter. Because it only froze 1 dollar I felt safe to pick the car I actually wanted. I did not get stuck by money worry. At that time I also had other travel costs like flights and hotels on the same card so saving space on my credit card was very important for me. Around one or two days before pick up I checked my booking sometimes and wondered if they would suddenly charge something extra. What really happened is that when the rental was about to start then the rest of the rental fee was taken from my card. The amount was the same as I saw before. There was no strange extra fee and no interest. When I saw the bill I felt glad that I chose this payment way. I went to pick up the car in Austin around the afternoon on June nineteenth. I went to the Budget counter. Since the car was booked already through them I just showed my documents. The staff finished the paperwork and gave me the Ford Bronco. The car looked clean and the space was big. My friends and I sat inside and felt comfortable. At that moment I remembered that I locked this car with only 1 dollar and it felt like a good deal. During the next few days driving in the United States the car worked fine. The automatic gear was easy to handle. I am an overseas visitor and do not know the local roads very well but at least the car did not cause any trouble and I felt quite safe. Sometimes when we stopped I thought again about the booking day. This split payment way helped me plan my money better. I did not have to take all the pressure at the start. I returned the car in Austin on the morning of June twenty seventh. I went back to the Budget office. The staff checked the car quickly and then the return was done. There was no extra fee. On the way back to the hotel I checked my credit card bill and the booking record on my phone. The whole process looked clear. There was no hidden charge and this payment plan did not add any interest. So I felt very satisfied with this experience. For me the biggest feeling is that One-Dollar Freeze made renting a car much easier especially for an overseas visitor like me with a not very high card limit and many other travel costs. Paying only 1 dollar first reduced my worry and I did not have to fear that my card would be blocked by a large amount. This light feeling stayed with me until I returned the car. When I think about my Ford Bronco rental in Austin the strongest memory is the peace of mind from this payment way. It let me focus more on my trip plan instead of staring at my card balance all the time. It sounds simple but for me this kind of no interest and low credit card pressure experience is already enough to make me want to keep using them to book cars.

A几天 after I returned the car in Los Angeles with my family, I thought everything was done. We had dropped off the Dodge Ram at the Thrifty desk near the airport. The kids were noisy around me and I remember very clearly I went to fill the tank. The fuel gauge needle was right at full. The staff at the counter did not say anything special so I just walked away thinking it was all fine. Then later I checked my credit card and saw a charge of 158.22 dollars. My first question in my head was simple. Why is it so high. Did I miss something. I checked my own fuel receipts again and still felt something was wrong. So I decided to contact them. As a parent traveling with kids I was already pretty tired and now there was this money problem to solve. When I explained my situation, they started by asking clear questions. Did you return the car with a full tank. Do you have photos. I answered one by one. I said I had a photo of the dashboard fuel gauge and also the paperwork from the rental. I also kept asking myself if I remembered the fuel level correctly. They asked me to send the photo so they could see it. I went through my phone gallery and found the picture where the gauge pointed to full and sent it. Then another problem came up. The mileage number in my photo was not the same as the number in the record from the rental company. I started to worry again. Did I take the wrong photo. Did the system record it wrong. They came back with another simple question. Why are these numbers different. Did you change any settings on the dashboard. I thought for a moment and then remembered that before returning the car I played a bit with the dashboard and changed the distance unit from miles to kilometers. I told them that I switched the unit so the numbers looked different. They asked me to explain this part more so it was clear that the kilometers and miles matched. I checked online myself and did the conversion again to make sure I was not saying something wrong, then shared my explanation. They did not use any fancy words. It was more like step by step checking the facts with me. After that they told me they would contact the rental company and try to get the fuel part back for me. I felt nervous but also a bit hopeful and just waited for a reply. Some time later they reached out again and told me the rental company had refunded the fuel amount. It was a bit over sixty dollars. I checked the number carefully and saw it was right. For me that was a big relief. When you travel with kids the budget is tight and extra charges like this are really annoying. What stood out in this whole story was the feeling that someone was actually taking care of the problem with me. I did not have to fight alone with the rental desk. There was dedicated customer service following up, asking me clear questions and talking for me with the rental company. As a parent that means a lot because my time and energy are limited. The booking at the start was made on QEEQ and now I feel glad I had their support in this fuel fee issue, or I would have spent much more time and stress on this small but tricky problem.

I first felt pretty good about this trip to Detroit. I booked the car on QEEQ. It was an Avis Toyota Corolla with auto gear. In my head I thought the car would be easy to drive and everything would be simple. Around mid April in the afternoon, about five pm, I arrived at the Detroit airport counter. I was a bit tired from flying and just wanted to get the car and go to the hotel. When I was at the counter the staff opened a new rental for me on the spot. I got confused right away. In my mind I kept asking if my online booking was still valid or not. When I calmed down and checked the papers I felt like there were two rentals now. It looked like I was charged twice. I suddenly felt very annoyed and also worried. The FI paper even had the word QEEQ on it so I was more lost. I did not know which money was really taken. I am an overseas visitor and I get nervous when it is about money in another country. So I reached out to their support team and sent all the documents and FI photos I had. In my mind I was ready for a long fight with the rental counter and I was afraid my English would not be clear enough. Instead something different happened. Support kept following my case. They asked for updates and did not sound lazy. That made me feel a bit safer inside. They contacted the rental company to check if this booking was used or not. I waited for news. While I was waiting I was still worried and kept thinking I might lose my money. When they told me that the rental company confirmed this booking was not used and that it could be refunded my whole body relaxed. My first inner voice was that I was glad someone stayed on this with me. I could feel that one person was always watching my case and giving me each new step. I did not need to call many places and explain the story again and again. For an overseas visitor like me this feeling is very important. I felt taken care of and not just like a number in a system. During my days in Detroit the new rental at the counter was a big headache for me but the way the problem was handled stayed in my mind. Even though I did not use the original booking to drive the car I still got back the money that was mine and that meant a lot to me.

"Sir, we have confirmed the refund for you." When the support person told me this, I was already back in Japan for a few days and I felt a big relief in my mind. A few days before, my car rental on the Big Island of Hawaii was quite smooth at first, but an extra charge kept bothering me. It was around mid June, about June 12 in the afternoon. I picked up a Honda CR V from Hertz at the Big Island airport. It was automatic and for five people. The car was clean and roomy and I drove around the island with a really good mood. The next day I returned the car before noon. I parked it back in the Hertz lot around eleven thirty, gave the keys to the counter staff and then went to catch my flight off the island. I still keep the boarding pass from that day. The real problem came after I went back home. I checked my credit card bill and saw one more charge of around ninety dollars on top of the normal rental fee. It looked like they charged me for an extra rental period. I was confused because I was sure I returned the car early and did not keep it until the time they wrote. I checked the paper from the car company and the return time on it was in the mid afternoon. At that time I was already on the way to the next island. So I contacted their support and explained everything and sent a photo of my boarding pass to show that I returned the car before noon. What made me feel calm was that the same person kept following my case. For me it felt like someone was watching this problem for me. I did not need to repeat my story again and again and they told me in simple words what was being checked and what information was still needed. After some time the support person told me that Hertz agreed that the charge was wrong and they would refund the ninety dollars. They asked me to watch my card for the money in the next days. The money did not come back to my card at once, but I already knew it was confirmed and I did not feel so nervous. This whole thing made me feel that someone was helping me check the bill and the times, which are hard for me to argue alone with the car company. For me this one to one follow up feeling is a bit like having a familiar person looking after me when I travel abroad, and it also made my impression of QEEQ very good.

Price Drop Protector

I had one question in my head at the start. What if the car price goes down after I book it. Do I just pay more for nothing. When I booked my New York car on QEEQ I saw the Price Drop Protector and I thought is this thing really useful. I still clicked it because I felt one more protection is not a bad idea. A few days before the trip I chose my car. I picked a Dodge Durango from ACE in New York. Seven seats and four doors. I planned to go out with friends so I wanted a big car. I set my pick up time around August 6 in the morning and drop off around August 21 in the evening. The price looked fine and I just booked it. After that I did not really think about it anymore. I almost forgot I even added Price Drop Protector. One day I was checking emails on my phone and I saw a message about my order. I noticed the price was different. My first thought was they charged me more. I got a bit worried. I opened it and read it slowly. Then I saw they made a new booking for the same car group with a lower price and they gave me back the difference. I stared at the amount for a few seconds and then I understood it was the Price Drop Protector working for me. I told my friend I did nothing and still saved money. My friend thought I was joking and said this kind of good thing does not happen. I showed the screenshot and the price gap was clear. It was enough for several meals. What surprised me was that I did not need to confirm anything. I did not need to cancel or book again. For me it was like one day I just found out the price went down and the money was already saved. I am not good with complex steps when I book stuff. This time I got a cheaper price without extra work. Now my order number is the new one and the car is still the same type. The pick up and drop off stay in New York. Only the price is better than the first one. I felt lucky that I chose Price Drop Protector. Without it I would never know the price dropped. I would not go back to compare and rebook all by myself. For someone like me who does not like trouble it feels like someone is watching the price in the background for me. When there is a chance to save money they just fix it. It is only one piece of money but the feeling is nice. It is like I suddenly have a bit more budget. Now when I book cars I start to look for this kind of service that can help me save money automatically.

Price Drop Protector

When I think about my upcoming car in Miami the first thing that comes to my mind is not the car but the money I saved. I booked it on QEEQ for a business trip at the end of the year. My schedule is full so I was a bit nervous when I chose the car. I needed something safe and also not crazy expensive. I picked a Ford Mustang Mach E from Budget. It is automatic with four doors and five seats so it looks fine for business. I will pick it up around the afternoon of December 18 2026 and return it around the afternoon of January 1 2027. When I made the first booking I looked at the price and said to myself this is not cheap I hope it does not go up more. Later I saw my order had Price Drop Protector. I only knew it would keep checking the price and send money back if the price went down. I did not think a lot about it. I felt this kind of service maybe almost never really works. A few days later I was working late in the office. My phone showed a new email about my car booking. I opened it and stared at the screen for a moment. They had booked the same car again for me and the new price was lower by a few dozen pounds. My first reaction was doubt. I thought maybe something was wrong and maybe I had to click somewhere or call someone. That night I sat in front of my laptop and opened my old email with the first order. I checked the old order number and then the new one. The new email showed the new order number which is 58093244 and the price line showed the difference was already paid back. I opened my credit card page and after some time I saw the refund really came in. It was about forty seven pounds. For me it is not a small amount. I remember I said to myself this feels like I just earned money for nothing. It was like someone saw I paid too much and quietly put the extra money back into my wallet. The funny thing is that I did almost nothing during this whole process. I did not go back to any website to compare prices and I did not call the rental desk. My plan stayed the same. I will arrive at Miami airport go to the Budget counter around late afternoon on December 18 and then bring the car back in the afternoon on January 1. I imagine myself walking from the terminal to the desk with my laptop bag and suitcase and thinking in my head the real cost of this Mustang Mach E is lower than I first thought. For a business trip this kind of saving is very real because my company watches travel costs and I have to care too. At one point I worried a little. Since they made a new booking I thought maybe there would be some problem at the counter like no car or no record. I sent an email and the customer support told me that I should just use the new confirmation. After some time I understood that Price Drop Protector was doing something I normally have to do alone. It was like it opened the website for me every day to see if the price was cheaper. When the price moved down it changed my booking to the cheaper one and kept all my details so I did not have to type anything again. One day I was in the pantry talking with a coworker. He asked me how much the car would cost for this trip. I gave him the rough number and then I added that it was actually a bit cheaper now because the system paid back the difference. He joked that I was good at picking platforms and that they even watch the price for me. I felt a bit proud and also a bit surprised that everything was arranged so smoothly. As a business traveler I really do not like last minute changes and hidden costs. This time because of Price Drop Protector I felt like I had a small helper that watches the price for me. With one price drop it gave me back over forty pounds. That is like one nice dinner or some extra rides in Miami. The best part is that I did not need to fill in forms or wait a long time. The money just came back quietly and all I had to do was look at the confirmation email. When the trip gets closer I will probably look again at my plan. I go to pick up the car on December 18 in the afternoon I drive it for all my meetings and visits and I return it on January 1 in the afternoon and then go to the airport. In this whole story the part I like the most is that my budget was improved without me doing much. For someone who deals with emails and meetings all day this kind of automatic saving feels really nice. I may not use fancy words to describe services but I will remember that the platform noticed the lower price and used Price Drop Protector to make a new booking for me and send the price difference back into my account.
